THE EXPERIENCE
Before
Arrival: Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your session so our team can check you in, show you to your private lounge, and ensure you’re fully prepared for a relaxing experience.
Shower First: Rinse off sweat, lotions, and other products before starting your session.
What to Wear: Wear tight-fitting swimwear or undergarments to prevent excess water from spilling onto the floor. If you're doing light therapy treatments, exposing more skin to infrared and red light wavelengths enhances the benefits. Bring a towel and sit on it inside the sauna for added comfort.
During
PSF Protocol: Spend up to 30 minutes in the infrared sauna, followed by a quick rinse and then a cold plunge for 1–5 minutes.
Do Not Alternate: Avoid switching back and forth between the sauna and plunge, as this may reduce the effectiveness of the routine.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your session, sip 8–24 oz. of water or an electrolyte drink during, and replenish fluids afterward. Avoid bringing food or other beverages into the Wellness Suite.
Cold Plunge Guidelines: A typical session lasts 1 to 3 minutes, but beginners should start with just 30 seconds and gradually build up. Advanced users may stay in for up to 5 minutes. The goal is to feel uncomfortable but safe. Listen to your body, as your tolerance may vary from session to session.
Breath Control for Cold Exposure: Managing your breath is key to staying in longer. Focus on long, slow exhales to keep your heart rate down and your body relaxed. Controlled breathing helps override the body’s panic response, making the experience more manageable.
Listen to Your Body: Adjust as needed. If you experience discomfort or flu-like symptoms, stop immediately.
Safety First: Enter and exit the plunge slowly to prevent slips or water spills.
After
Final Cold Rinse: Avoid hot shower immediately after the plunge, as it can undo the benefits. Take a quick cold rinse and let your body self-regulate and warm up naturally.
Cleanliness & Consideration: Wipe down any surfaces you’ve used and leave the space ready for the next guest.
Consistency is Key: For the best results, aim for at least three sessions per week. Just like with workouts, regular practice leads to noticeable improvements.
